Aloka Lekhana
The word “photography” is based on the Greek φῶς (photos) “light” and γραφή (graphé) “representation by means of lines” or “drawing”, together meaning “drawing with light”.
~
I found this such a wonderful expression, drawing with light, that I translated it into Pali, Aloka Lekhana.
~
Not only does Aloka mean light, but it also means to shed light, illuminate, and yet another meaning is to see.
~

Oh, Joseph!! Such poignantly beautiful masterpieces, each, that tears well up and I only get through a few at a time because I pause so long to feel the presence of place and mood. It’s as if I can effortlessly project myself into your scenarios–especially ones like this with moving and still waters reflecting. Your work could and should be displayed a much broader arena of exposure. I’m thinking National Geographic… You were blessed with a perpetually child-like fascination for the world and the world, in turn, lovingly offers up its finest treasures! You do, indeed, make everyday life an adventure of the spirit! May you walk a very long road joyfully!
